Sunday Lunch at the Hall, 14th October 2018
What is it?
As a part of our community get-together activities, we thought we'd put on a lovely Sunday Lunch. We've had celebrity dinners during the food festival in past years, but this time we thought we'd hold a relaxed Sunday Lunch.
How much is it?
It's just £15 per person, to include a choice of lunch, a choice of dessert and tea or coffee to follow.
Please note that after difficulties collecting payment in previous years, we've had to insist on full payment before issuing tickets, of which there are only fifty. We expect to sell out, so please do get your ticket early.
What are the choices?
Are special diets catered for?
Yes. Vegetarian and Gluten Free options are included. Any other requirements, please discuss with us when buying your ticket.
Who's doing the catering?
Red Castle Tearooms, who are already famous for their fabulous lunches!
Great! How do I book it?
We'll want a few bits of information when you book:
To fit people in, we have limited numbers to getting 50 people. This means we need to collect your payment with your order. If there are any problems putting on the lunch (which we don't expect) we will of course notify you immediately and refund your money in full.
How do we get there?
Go up the Old Ross Road (the B4521) from Abergavenny. Llanddewi Skirrid is about 3 miles out of town. When you see the Llanddewi Skirrid road sign, just around the corner on your left you will see the Walnut Tree. Continue down the road and up slightly. You will then see the green village hall (a listed building!) up on your left as the road bends right. The postcode is NP7 8AW, though this will take you to the church (just up the lane from the hall).
When you see the village hall (below), turn left. The main car park is immediately on your left, opposite the hall. There is also a smaller car park up on your right. We'd like to keep space here for anyone who is disabled, so if the main car park is full and you are able-bodied, please continue up the road a little and the car park just before the church will be open.
What happens about drinks?
There'll be water on the table and tea and coffee afterwards. If you'd like to bring your own wine or beer that's fine -- we have glasses.
What happens on the day?
We'll be opening the hall at 1pm for a 1:30pm start. Please make sure you arrive well before 1:30pm as serving will start then.
When you arrive, park your car as above and make your way in. Your ticket will be checked at the entrance and you will be guided to your seat. To fit everyone in, there will be two long tables down the hall, which also means we have to seat you in allocated seating in order to ensure all parties can sit together!
Service will be provided by merry members of the village hall committee!
